I have a similar problem. When I suspend from command line, after resuming from sleep state, the screen is blank. When I suspend from gnome, and resume from it, the screen flickers. Please check my bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/tft-flickering Thank you!
