I don't see how ubuntu one would have any effect on that... We don't
touch USB. The only way I could see this happening is if you went
through the undocumented/unsupported/haphazard method of changing the
location of your ~/Ubuntu One folder to be on a USB disk. And I'm
guessing you probably did not do that...
