My current alsa-base config file modification is
$ tail -1 /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1

However, I see the following lines appearing in /var/log/jockey.log:
2009-09-01 17:43:06,935 DEBUG: no corresponding handler available for
{'driver_type': 'kernel_module', 'kernel_module': 'snd_hda_intel',
'jockey_handler': 'KernelModuleHandler'}
2009-09-01 17:43:07,059 DEBUG: no corresponding handler available for
{'driver_type': 'kernel_module', 'kernel_module': 'snd_pcsp', 'jockey_handler':
'KernelModuleHandler'}

So, is this issue fixed with the upstream git commit?

thanks.
