Anybody interested: The software seems update (as well as the url), Here is the download and install instructions for Ubuntu, it claims support for up to 9.04 http://www.betavine.net:80/bvportal/resources/datacards/os/ubuntu Even at some places it seems to be renamed to Betavine Mobile Connect software.
However, it seems only to support i386 architecture.
