I don't have this exact problem.

If I try to install the -modesetting driver, It tries to uninstall the
xserver-xorg-driver-all package, as it depends on the i810 driver, and
the i810-modesetting removes it. However, it doesn't remove the xorg
package, so I can have the ubuntu-desktop with the i810-modesetting.

However, this is still a bug, as it shouldn't try to remove the xserver-
xorg-video-all metapackage.
