So for anyone who wants an OS where the user is in control it has to be; 1) boot grub 2) toggle Ubuntu Karmic (makeactive chainloader +1) 3) boot grub2 4) wait for the 10 sec countdown (because grub2 is uneditable the user can't shorten it to 1 or 0)
