With usplash my notebook doesn't want to shut down, it freezes with distorted
screen. Removing usplash results in normal shutdown. However and unfortunately,
sometimes my notebook freezes, with text saying "kill all processes ... fail"
(in red), or blinking cursor after the line "end trace ..." or after text "will
now halt..." (see duplicate #332772). I only can get out of there by pressing
crtl - alt - del buttons.
I also have 64bits machine (HP7-1199ed) with Ubuntu 9.04 running. I hope it
will be solved in the next version (9.10)!
