** Description changed:

Since I installed a DVI cable (and adjusted my screen consequently)
Ubuntu freeze when shutting down (at 2/3, maybe 3/4 done).

I didn't saw that happen the first time, and my computer remained like that
the whole night.
Since I got this cable, I restarted my Comp maybe 3 or 4 times, and every
times, the same thing happened.

+ Looks like the faulty part is "Asking for all remaining processes to
+ terminate", which is surprisingly written on the same line that
+ "Checking for running unattended-upgrades"
+
At this point, Ctrl+Alt+Del is unresponsive, but the magic keys (Alt+Sys
  Rq+*) are.

- *to be contunued*
+ I'm on Karmic alpha
+ I use an Nvidia Graphic Card with Propriatary drivers installed.
