If possible, could LMMS be updated from 0.4.2 to 0.4.5 despite the feature-freeze?
0.4.5 is head and shoulders above the 0.4.2 release in terms of the amount of bugs fixed and features added. The newer release does not need any new dependencies apart from one relating to Zynaddsubfx, a software synthesizer already in the Ubuntu repositories. Currently the only way to obtain the 0.4.5 release is by using tobydox's PPA repository here on launchpad.
