Please reopen this bug. I have my Power Management settings set to "Suspend" when the lid is closed for both AC and Battery - neither works in 9.04UNR. I have an Acer Aspire One D250.
I tried Karmic alpha4, and had the pleasure of submitting a crash report for the launcher before testing the suspend bug. :-} It turns out that the suspend-on-lid-close still didn't work. I didn't follow steps 2 & 3 from comment 5 yet. I can't say when I'll be able to do so.
