Since it seems we have a lack of hardware to confirm if this is resolved or to do further debugging I'm going to close this report for now.
@romu, I do understand you being put off by always being asked to "test the latest". However, when dealing with the kernel, bugs are very much hardware specific and kernel devs only have access to a very limited set of hw to test with. Between each kernel release there are literally thousands of patches/commits that go into the kernel. Combined with the large volume of kernel bugs that are reported to Launchpad and the limited number of kernel developers it's much more efficient and helpful for bug reporters to take that 5-10min to test against the known hw with issues rather than a developer having to spend hours/days trying to sift through thousands of commits to pin point a possible exact fix (if it even exists). Additionally having bug reports as up to date a possible is extremely helpful to developers when they do have time to examine it. They'll immediately have all the up to date information.
