Public bug reported:

Using fully updated kubuntu karmic alpha,
One may choose settings using kde's power management tool, powerdevil. For
example, in the current profile I may request for my laptop to do nothing when
I close the laptop lid. However acpid is also running, and will still suspend
the laptop when I close the lid. The problem is fixed by stopping acpid,
allowing powerdevil to solely control power management.
I think that probably acpid should not act if it detects that powerdevil is
being used.

acpi-support 0.125
acpid 1.0.6-9ubuntu
kdelibs5 4:4.3.0-0ubuntu6

** Affects: acpid (Ubuntu)
