it doesnt work, the installer cd still mis-represents the size of the partitions.
crucial support (us) also suggested using GParted to form a unformatted partition which could then be used. once again, doesnt work the installation fails universally at one of 3 points: (1) right at the beginning claiming that the *.deb packages are corrupted - they arent. the disc passes the check and install on a regular hdd (2) at the installation of linux-x.x.xx-x-generic (3) the installation of grub/grub2 how far you get in the installation depends upon how the disk has been manually configured. the only way to complete the install is using the guided with logical volumes option. setting up manually the exact same structure as the guided with lvm option still leads to the installation failing. theres something seriously wrong here :( -- Installation fails on Crucial/Micron M225 256gb SSD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415888 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
