Same problem here since at least 8.10 - so I tried the same under OpenSuse based KDE 4.3 LiveCD - xdg-mime didn't give any output at all an kmimetypefinder gave the same results as David said but with the accuracy of 100 for -f - so in Dolphin the file is correctly associated with .jar. Same results in Mandriva 2009 Spring and Fedora 11 but here the kmimetypefinder command doesn't accept -c or -f and just gives application/x-java-archive (accuracy 100). On rigth click Properties all the three also show "Type: Java-Archive" und below the additional entry "Content: Zip archive".
Btw. - how is the accuracy of kmimetypefinder calculated? ** Attachment added: "Example .jar file (Java version of gnome-nettool)" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30666575/jNetTool-0.4.0.jar -- KDE always associates *.jar with the zip mime type https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-runtime in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
