You can request a sponsor by ubuntu-universe-sponsors only for packages already in Ubuntu repository, or to add a new package from Debian repository to Ubuntu repository. For a completely new package, you should find a sponsor with REVU, like you done. Unfortunately, there is not enough reviewer on REVU to look at all packages, so the delay could be very long. That's why I advice you to base your work on the Debian package.
If you think the changes are needed, please forward them to the Debian maintainer. In the mean time you can request a sync, or a merge from the debian package which include your changes. In this case (Sync or Merge), you can request sponsor from ubuntu-universe-sponsors. See also https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess or https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/Merging for more details. -- [needs-packaging] smile https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298706 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
