Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Hello.

I'm currently running the latest Ubuntu Feisty with the following
packages:

openoffice.org - 2.1-2ubuntu4
linux-image-2.6.20-6-generic - 2.6.20-6.11
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-6-generic - 2.6.20.1-6.1
xorg - 1:7.1.1ubuntu7
xorg-fglrx - 7.1.0-8.32.5+2.6.20.1-6.1

My machine uses an ATi x1400 graphics card and is running the fglrx
driver.

The problem is that whenever any OpenOffice program is run it will fail
to run after the splash screen disappears.

If the ~/.openoffice2 directory is deleted it will freeze midway on the
splash screen.

When I am running with the vesa xorg driver OpenOffice works perfectly,
I believe this issue is caused by the fglrx driver. fglrx appears to be
working normally for everything else.

I will also attach console output and straces of the issue.

Thanks for your time.
