#2 David Rekowski wrote on 2009-04-17: For some reason, libgcrypt was 1.4.3 instead of the current 1.4.1. Changing to that version helped as cups can now be started. Just for the sake of completeness, 11 is part of the package name, so it has to be:
$ sudo apt-get --reinstall install libgcrypt11 --- This worked for me, thanks.
