** Description changed: - U9.04 & U9.10 (latest of both) bad installs with Windows 7 Release - Candidate 7100 on the same drive. + Ubuntu 9.04 & Ubuntu 9.10 (latest of both) bad installs with Windows 7 + Release Candidate 7100 on the same drive. These are routine installs on fresh hard drives, accepting all defaults, on Dell D610 and Tosh U? portables. Win7 is installed first. But when attempting to install the downloaded Ubuntu updates it balks and reports insufficient HD space. However the is lots of gross space left. After manually adjusting the Ubuntu HD space allocations the updates were accepted as expected. This install was attempted at least 6 times on the 2 machines, with identical results.
