Hi Michael, It looks like you ran the command line as I sent it, in other words:
gdb /usr/bin/kpilot 2>&1 | tee ~/gdb-kpilot.txt without the "<program>" stuff, which is correct - just making sure. When I follow the directions in the Backtrace wiki, I get your results, but I also get a "KPilot Main Configuration" window that persists even though the main program has terminated according to gdb. Do you see this window? I also see a message in gdb as follows: [New Thread 0xb5dfc700 (LWP 4717)] ! ! KPilot configuration version 520 newer than stored version 0 Program exited normally. Please let me know if this matches what you observe. If you still have a "KPIlot Main Configuration" window present, then kpilot has not actually "crashed", but in fact is still running. You can use the window to configure kpilot and subsequently sync your device. -- K-Pilot crashed upon launching the application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/409630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
