The kernel devs don't add the DSDT patch until the final release. Ben Collins usually adds this patch himself despite Linus's thoughts. My question is will this patch continue to be added to 2.6.31 and future kernels? The Arch devs have axed it as of 2.6.30 citing bugs with the patch. You can no longer load a custom DSDT with Arch unless you compile your own kernel.
