Hello,
i'have the same problem here: all of ours shared directory are not accessible
with localapps.

But if i add follow_symlinks to sshfs there is an other problem:

eric.sei...@ltsp160:~$ E: core-util.c: Failed to symlink
/home/utilisateurs/eric.seigne/.pulse/3cac2f56d278479a83dbde244a7abf8d:runtime
to /tmp/pulse-laD7XUG1CKA8: No such file or directory
E: core-util.c: Failed to symlink
/home/utilisateurs/eric.seigne/.pulse/3cac2f56d278479a83dbde244a7abf8d:runtime
to /tmp/pulse-E4oKaHjAfWF6: Operation not permitted

pulse (and lot of others i'm sure) can't make symlinks to local devices
or pipes ...

For linux boxes i uses a cifs mount, samba make server-symlinks-resolv
and solutions, and local links works good, it could be a solution, but
you have to install and configure samba ...
