The problem seems related with:

Restarting the sshd server solves the problem. The server cannot be
restarted using `/etc/init.d/ssh restart`. The only solution will be to
`kill -9` the sshd server .... If you do not have access to the system
console you can add `/etc/init.d/ssh start` in the root crontab.

Doing an rmmod/modprobe on myri10ge after the hard restart (using kill
-9) of sshd server the problem appears again.
