Give this a shot: * http://people.canonical.com/~kirkland/search2.html
It should look identical to the current default tab in firefox (the ubuntu search thing). However, search for something in there, and you should see some different behavior. For instance, search for "dvd": * http://people.canonical.com/~kirkland/search3.html?cof=FORID%3A9&cx=partner-pub-2070091971271392%3Ajhy8zj-qv39&q=dvd&sa=Search You have the links across the top: * Web Images Videos Maps News Shopping Wikipedia Furthermore, the results are much more compressed, and hence much more usable on my netbooks. The advertisements are limited to the side. And they still do pay Canonical, which helps bring you Ubuntu. Screen shots attached. This is my "constructive", suggested fix to the problem, which I recognize and think could be improved. :-Dustin ** Attachment added: "screenshot2.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/29910545/screenshot2.png -- multisearch add on blocks the functionality of firefox location bar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/402767 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
