OK, I think I found the ultimate workaround. :) If you hate running randr all the time, as much as I do, you can try this:
1.- Make sure your 'Section "Device"' contains this: Driver "intel" 2.- Add the following section: Section "Monitor" Identifier "TV" Option "TV Format" "PAL" EndSection That's it. Every time you turn your computer on, you'll see everything with color on your TV. See the attachment for a sample xorg.conf file.
