This is really a papercut: my suggestion 1) blacklist pcspkr by Ubuntu default 2) add the line "/usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play --file=/usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo/desktop-logout.ogg" to the file /etc/gdm/PostSession/Default (see bug 391117).
