I am not able no connect directly to my ADSL connection using network-manager,
I can though using pppoeconf on the terminal. The problem appears to be
specially severe from the Live CD, ever since network-manager has been
integrated to Ubuntu I have been able to connect just once (always using the
live CD).
It looks like network manager does not even try to connect. After I enter my
username/password for my ADSL connection an give it an ok, it disconnects
instantly and that's it. I am not sure if this is a widespread problem or maybe
specific for my country (Uruguay).
I can post any log that would help, but don't know which? It is kind of a
showstopper when showing off the live CD to other people that use direct ADSL
connections to their PCs.
All help greatly appreciated!
