About the leak I saw in Karmic, I couldn't reproduce it with valgrind, so no evidence from my side. For what it's worth, dbus' ~800MB memory usage was during Nepomuk's initial index of my ~53000 files. Subsequent indexes and crawls didn't cause dbus to fill up my RAM. So maybe it was just caused by a lot of messages, in which case I apologize for the noise.
