** Description changed: - The symptom here is quite similar to bug 322434: after an upgrade to - Jaunty (and maybe installing and then remove --purging lbm-jaunty) - ipw2200 doesn't connect to a WEP LAN. The issue is that the - lib80211_crypt_wep module is never loaded; for some reason only - lib80211, ipw2200 and libipw are. + SRU Justification: + + Impact: The ipw2200 module loads required crypto modules upon starting. + In the this case the WEP name was rewritten but the module did not match + that name. + + Fix: Change the modification script to not rename the WEB module name as + LBM names and in-kernel names are different anyways. + + Testcase: Loading the original module will not load the WEP encryption + module. With the modified build it does. + + --- + + + The symptom here is quite similar to bug 322434: after an upgrade to Jaunty (and maybe installing and then remove --purging lbm-jaunty) ipw2200 doesn't connect to a WEP LAN. The issue is that the lib80211_crypt_wep module is never loaded; for some reason only lib80211, ipw2200 and libipw are. If I remove ipw2200, load lib80211_crypt_wep and then load ipw2200 again, I find that it works fine. But I'm not sure where the autoloading should be happening that isn't.
