@ Andy : it seems that your patch isn't applied in the new kernel 2.6.31-4 because I have exactly the same error. But it's not very urgent for the moment!
I have tried to compile the new drivers from Ralink (because my wireless card was no longer detected in this kernel 2.6.31-3 that you have modified) but there are some errors.
