The VPN was a linux version of the Citrix Access Gateway Citrix Access Gateway Plugin Version: 4604400
I used System > Preferences > Main Menu to create a new "application in terminal" running the command "cagvpn --login" FYI: This plugin works on Jaunty [starts in a terminal, makes VPN link, can web to the citrix metaframe presentation website] The plugin does not work on Karmic [starts in a terminal, makes VPN link, nothing will load or ping or connect.
