Paste of the return mail that didn't reach LP for some reason: Dear Mr. Mukovac, thanks for your mail.I will try to describe my situation. I am working with an Acer Aspire T310 with Intel Celeron 2,6 GHz processor,Windows XP,and Graphic System SiS 650/651/740/661FX/741/760 series(AGP 3.00).Circa 6 months ago I installed Ubuntu 8.10 parallel to Windows and on own partitions. It was working correct since 4 weeks ago the videomodus changed from 1024X768 to a lower one.I could work with some difficulties (the screen was deformed into length). So I upgraded to 9.04,but with the same result.Than 3 weeks ago the videomodus changed again,so that the top and lower panels be lost on the desktop. So I installed Ubuntu 8.10 additional with WUBI under Windows XP,and it was working correct since Yesterday, when it did the same as 9.04 at least. A look into /etc/X11/xorg.conf shows on 8.10 (wubi) only one xorg.conf (seems to be normal),and on 9.04 five different messages:1)xorg.conf (like on 8.10),2)xorg.conf 20090701104425,3)xorg.conf 20090701104700, 4)xorg.conf dist-upgrade-200902122047,5)xorg.conf dist-upgrade-200906262107. I will hope, that you can help with these informations. Best regards Günter Schlicht.
