Hi, Scott, it's possible to get the syncdaemon logs? (~/.cache/ubuntuone/log) Is this on a clean system/fresh install?
As Rodney pointed out, the current startup time isn't much. In my mahcine (macbook Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM) is ~2s. I have a fix that improves things a bit, in the same machine it goes down to ~0.3s Thanks a lot.
