The tags have a different artist for every track but the album name is the same. In the past, Amarok was clever enough to recognise this as a compilation album and display it under 'Various Artists'. As far as I'm concerned, this is correct behaviour (Amarok 1.4 did it perfectly every time).
So what it does now is display each track as a separate 'Album' when I sort by Artist. I can choose the 'album' and select 'Display Under Various Artists' and this moves it to Various Artists - so I do this for every other track from this compilation. There are 12 tracks on this album. Having selected 'Show Under Various Artists' for every track, I look under 'Various Artists' and now I have 12 copies of the album, each with all 12 tracks.
