Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gimp
Happens when I open http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ac/Stofferenblik.jpg (so far any other jpg/ image?), crop the image to selection, close the image without saving and exit gimp. The "window manager" (not sure about that term) seems to crash - _every_ window gets relocated to the first virtual desktop, desktop effects no longer work (eg the "wobbling windows", or the cube-effect when switching between desktops). gdb log shows nothing unusual, gimp-dbg package installed, nevertheless I will add that log to this bug. When I try to record this with xvid-cap, the crash does not happen. I will add this screencast to this bug, there's nothing unusual though. But it shows exactly which steps I make to reproduce the error (if xvid-cap was not running) I have a Geforce 6600, using nvidia driver v180 installed via ubuntu, no manual installed driver. Ubuntu Jaunty 64bit, doing daily upgrades. ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Exiting Gimp results in crashing window manager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400867 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
