Most probably NOT a bug in intel drivers! I found old .dsc files on xorg-edgers. And compiled many of them. Right now I'm running on xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.6.99.1+git20090416.b9716b83-0ubuntu0tormod_i386 and kernel 2.6.30-8 And I can reproduce this bug.
In the evening I'll try to go further back, and search what else was updated in that time.
