durlo, upstream wants you to test a newer version of the driver. I would recommend that you boot a LiveCD of Karmic Alpha-2, which you can download from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/releases/karmic, update the system to the latest, and try reproducing the bug. Then report your findings to the upstream bug report.
