Also, for previous applications who don't follow this behavior, they should not be included until they are fixed. What's so hard about checking this bug in each of those applications, and if they have it implemented, include them. If they don't have it implemented, don't include them. Put pressure on the authors of those applications that if you don't do simple fixes like this, then you don't get included.
