Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acpid
i installed jaunty a couple of days ago, i couldn't upgrade pkgs during
installation because i use an usb wireless card which requires kernel 2.6.29 or
higher.
when i restarted the system i installed that kernel fetching it from a debian
partition i have on the same pc.
everything worked flawlessly, i could connect to internet, update and upgrade
jaunty, but dselect couldn't configure acpid because it complained it could not
find /proc/acpi/event
i uninstalled acpid and consequently acpi-support and ubuntu-desktop as well (i
understand they depend on acpid).
afterwards i tried to reinstall the three pkgs but with no luck for problems
with dependancies (acpid not configured)
