Fixing of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ifupdown/+bug/130437 in ifupdown 0.6.8ubuntu18 has broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ifupdown/+bug/78043 causing persistent ppp connections to be no longer persistent.
