This is a patch to fix the kernel oops. To test the patch, download it to your home directory and get the kernel source with the command
apt-get source linux-image-$(uname -r) in a terminal. Then goto the new directory linux-2.6.31 and apply the patch: cd linux-2.6.31 patch -p1 < ~/af9015.diff Then compile and install the modified kernel according to <https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kernel/Compile>. There may be easier ways to get the modified module but this is how it worked for me. ** Attachment added: "af9015.diff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/28760006/af9015.diff -- [Karmic] Kernel panic with TV card plugged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374387 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
