Me too

since i have installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my new PC it froze randomly

i searched a lot in the last weeks, to find a tip, how i could fix this
I tried a lot of diffrent nvidia-rivers on a copy of this install, but nothing
did really help.

I found 1 comment, who suggestet to disable 3 of my 4 Cores, and that
did it !!!

If i boot with maxcpus=1 there is no freeze any more since 4 Weeks now
with a lot of pc-working

If i reboot without maxcpus=1 the there is a freeze every ca. 15-20
Minutes
