It's not invalid. The problem is an obscure error message that does not help the user. That's real, and it's still there. The problem is that there is no simple way for the user to take the error message and deduce the solution.
I've had this same discussion at least a dozen times. It's like this: Me: "The error message is misleading/obscure" Developer: "Don't make an error" or Developer: "Here's how to solve the problem" or Developer: "That's not a bug, you were misusing the software." I do appreciate the help in solving the problem, very much in fact, but it's still a bad error message. What you want is a "wontfix" status, I suppose. ** Changed in: gcc-defaults (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- /usr/include/gnu/stubs-32.h is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395478 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
