Public bug reported: My problems started with the introduction of V4l2.
I have activity on the webcam, but the image is totally garbled. http://i41.tinypic.com/dzjb09.png As you can see in this picture above. My hand is appearing upside down and the image is starting where it should be the middle of it. I have just tested my webcam "ID 0ac8:303b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. ZC0303 WebCam" on Windows Vista using outdated XP drivers (DELL Inspiron 1525) and definitely is not a hardware problem. It works. I may say, surprisingly well. $ lsusb | grep Z-Star Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0ac8:303b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. I'm available for further testing through launchpad Thanks for reading ** Affects: gspca (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- V4l2 + Z-Star ZC0303 Webcam garbled image https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394970 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
