This bug persists on the Lenovo ThinkPad T61 even with the 64-bit linux- backports-modules-jaunty package.
However, I've got two T61 computers, and the hang only happens for me on the computer with the offboard Nvidia 140M video card. The hang seems much more frequent with the closed Nvidia drivers, but system or video load doesn't affect hang frequency. My T61 would sometimes stay on the network after the video hang, so I thought that the video card was going bad. Lenovo replaced the Nvidia NVS 140M as a warranty repair, but the hang still happens. On perhaps 10% of the hangs, the T61 reboots into the system interrupt menu. (ie: The hang is sometimes coincident with an SMI event.) ** Attachment added: "lspci information for a Lenovo ThinkPad T61 with an Nvidia 140M" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/28598816/lspci-t61.txt -- Lenovo X61 hangs with flashing caps lock LED. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303276 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
