Attached the lspci output. I don't think I am experiencing the "infinite loop" bug, as I could not find the report error message in the Xserver log files. I did not see any error messages in the log files, for that matter.
I will try the x-updates drivers later. I do want to also note that yesterday I closed the lid for the night, and it didn't freeze as it had done every single time in the past.
