Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to file this bug, but I did not
receive any feedback to tell me otherwise:
http://lists.us.dell.com/pipermail/linux-desktops/2009-June/003005.html

The Dell Mini's use the repository at:
http://dell-mini.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/

Currently the following network-manager packages are at the version:
0.7~~svn2008...

This includes:
network-manager (0.7~~svn20081018t105859+mbm.f2-0ubuntu1~hardy5netbook1)
network-manager-dev (0.7~~svn20081018t105859+mbm.f2-0ubuntu1~hardy5netbook1)
network-manager-gnome
(0.7~~svn20081012t133407+mbm.final2-0ubuntu1~hardy1netbook3belmont1)

In particular network-manager has the following conflict:
Conflicts: network-manager-pptp (< 0.7~~)
Replaces: network-manager-pptp (< 0.7~~)

yet the available network-manager-pptp package is at version
0.6.5+svnhead2574-0ubuntu1
There for installing network-manager-pptp removes network manager.

It seems that intrepid has a network-manager-pptp package at the
version: 0.7~~svn20081015t024626-0ubuntu1.8.10.1

So I'm hoping, all that is needed is for someone to backport that
package to hardy for the dell-mini repository to allow these nifty
Mini's I've convinced folks to try out to get in touch with Ubuntu to
allow them to connect to their current Windows infrastructure.
