Ok tried in a non-NoMachine session. Even slower. Two things are slow: 1) Scrolling 2) There is a horrible horrible lag when I type text in a textbox. Interestingly if I type in a gedit and copy paste there is no such lag.
This is not a new problem. Interestingly on another laptop that is i386 I don't seem to have these problems. And Opera on the same computer seems to work a lot faster. But CPU usage stays around 10%. Any help will be appreciated. I tried some Greasemonkey scripts but did not seem to help much.
