Is this still happening with a recentish Ubuntu/Nexuiz release? Looing at your report, it says Reassociate () from /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so Which means you run the closed-source ATI driver, which is known to play bad in some situations. Any chance you can try using radeon or radeonhd with your card? These should be much more sane in terms of correct DRI usage.
