Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin
I know pidgin has worked for me before, but today it's segfaulting. To help debug, I did rm -r ~/.purple then installed pidgin-dbg and ran in gdb. I added my GTalk account, and then it crashed (I did not provide my password, nor was I asked for one). The backtrace is attached. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 $ apt-cache policy pidgin pidgin: Installed: 1:2.5.5-1ubuntu8.1 Candidate: 1:2.5.5-1ubuntu8.1 Version table: *** 1:2.5.5-1ubuntu8.1 0 500 http://mirrors.us.kernel.org jaunty-updates/main Packages 500 http://mirrors.us.kernel.org jaunty-security/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:2.5.5-1ubuntu8 0 500 http://mirrors.us.kernel.org jaunty/main Packages ** Affects: pidgin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: pidgin segfault -- Pidgin segfault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
