Unfortunately, it does not use the same window so you end up with
several windows you need to close.
I used to just close the window as soon as it came up since I usually
use the command line in a terminal window and then umount via the icon
on the desktop.    But I've accessed the mount via the Places menu
recently (and also tried using the GUI to do the copies) and ended up
with this annoyance.

I ended up here after gogling for how I could configure Nautilus to
close the window.
